Gee
It’d been a month since I'd been out of the coma, and two weeks since I'd been home. Things between Je'leese and me had been on the rocks because I was still upset with her and she didn't want me to go after Daivon. But I was going to make that bitch pay! No ifs, ands, or buts about it; I was going to make sure she and her sister never fucked with my family again.
I was sitting in the kitchen feeding Jiovanna while Lil Gee was in his high chair knocked out sleep when Katt walked in with Christen in her arms. This was the first time Katt and I had been in the same room together. Usually, she'd lock herself in her room or she'd be in the nursery with Christen. Let's just face it; the house was full of tension. Katt wouldn't even hold a conversation with Leese.
“Gee, can we talk?” Katt asked as sat down on the other side of the table.
“Sure Katt," I said as I placed the baby food on the table.
“I know things have been a little tense between you and Leese since everything went down. But she loves you and she was protecting her family, which was the same thing I was doing. That’s something both you and Christopher taught us to do. So how could you be mad at her for doing that?” she asked, getting up from the table and walking out of the kitchen.
I was still sitting there thinking about what Katt had just said when Leese walked in.
“Why in the world is my baby sleeping in this high chair?” she asked with an attitude as she picked Lil Gee up.
“His big butt fell asleep while I was feeding him,” I said as I placed the last spoon of baby food in Jiovanna’s mouth.
“Well I'm going to wipe him off and put him in the bed," she said as she walked out of the kitchen.
I got up, threw the trash away, put the spoon in the sink, and picked Jiovanna up. She smiled as soon as she got in my arms.
“You sleepy, lil mama?" I asked as I walked out of the kitchen and into the living room. Ant and Josh were sitting on the sofa on their phones.
“What y'all boys up too?" I asked them as I sat down in the La-Z-Boy.
“Nothing much, trying to relax before we take the kids to Chuck E. Cheese with Renee and Charles later,” Ant said.
“Good, take Lil Gee and Jiovanna; I need some alone time with their mama.”
“Fasho," they said together as I looked down at Jiovanna who was now sleeping. When she was in my arms, it didn’t take her that long to fall asleep.
“Let me go lay her down. I'll holla at y'all boys later," I said as I got up and walked up the stairs. When I got in the twins’ room, Leese was sitting in their rocking chair, rocking Lil Gee.
“Did he wake back up?" I asked her as I placed Jiovanna on the changing table so I could wipe her off and change her clothes.
